Adam Milstein is an Israeli-American man who works at Israeli American Council as chairman of the board. He also founded the Adam and Gila Milstein Family Foundation with his wife in the 2000’s. He is well known for his philanthropy and for his expert background in the American real estate business.
What was Milstein’s background and early life?
Adam Milstein was born in the year 1952 in the city of Haifa, Israel. His mother was a homemaker and his father was a real estate agent. When he was an adult, Milstein fought in the 1973 Yom Kippur War as part of the Israel Defense Forces. After the war, he went to the Technion to get a Bachelor of Science. A few years after marrying his wife, Gila Elgrably, Milstein and his family moved to the United States. There, they settled down in the state of California. Milstein then attended the University of Southern California to work toward his masters of business administration.
Where did Milstein go from there?
From there, Adam Milstein went on to eventually become the president of Liberty West Inc. from 1986 to 2000. He co-founded Sifriyat Pijama B’America and became a managing partner of Hager Pacific. Milstein sits on the board of the Israel on Campus Coalition, Hasbara Fellowships, Stand With Us, Israeli American Council, and more. Milstein and his wife created the Adam and Gila Milstein Family Foundation, which serves to educate and support young professionals in the Western World and on campuses all over the United States. He also sits as chairman of the board on the Israeli American Council in Los Angeles, California. This council supports the approximately one million Israeli-Americans living in the United States. And besides all of these things, Adam and his wife Hila support a number of non-profit organizations.
