Dr. Jennifer Walden is a plastic surgeon, academic, and also founder of a cosmetic surgery practice and three medical spas, two in Texas and one in New York City. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgeon, and also fellowship-trained in Cosmetic Surgery. She was recognized by American Way as being among the best plastic surgeons in America.
She earned her undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Texas, and her medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch. After her residency there, Dr. Jennifer Walden obtained fellowship in aesthetic surgery and started her career in Manhattan, where she ended up working for more than 7 years, with Dr. Sherrell Aston as her mentor. During her time in New York, she took part in the clinical trials which led to the reintroduction of the silicone breast implants. After her tenure in Manhattan, Dr. Jennifer Walden returned to Austin, Texas at the end of 2011, opening up her private practice in Westlake Hills.
She is an active member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (SAPS), which is a globally authoritative organization in the area of cosmetic surgery. She serves as the organization’s Commissioner of Communications, and is one of the few females to serve in the organization’s Board of Directors. . She is the first woman on the Executive Committee of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, and is on track to become the first female president of the organization. In addition, she is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
Dr. Jennifer Walden is also a present figure online and in the media. She is active on Instagram, talking about medical procedures or new offers, and is also a frequent guest on national news networks such as Fox News.
